Twislee yarns are proudly made in the UK from 100% recycled cotton. Our production process is powered entirely by renewable energy, ensuring a sustainable approach from start to finish. Each strand is crafted by twisting together 60 (for 3mm) or 100 (for 5mm) soft individual fibres, then wrapped onto spools made of recycled paper. 

Twislee yarns are OEKO-TEK certified. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 guarantees that every thread has been tested for harmful substances and that it is therefore harmless for human health and the environment.

We are currently looking at expanding our offering back to 100m spools.

We sell a range of colours in 5m, 10m or 20m which are perfect for your smaller projects to ensure less waste. Often a whole 100m spool is purchase when only 10m is needed.

Yes! A lot of research has been undertaken to ensure all our products and associated items are vegan and cruelty free.

All our cardboard packaging is made from recycled materials. We will either use wood wool (recyclable, biodegradable, plastic free which is made carbon neutrally from sustainable sources), or recycled tissue paper. All tapes, stickers and labels used are biodegradable, plastic free and vegan (including the ink!). We have put a lot of work to ensure that all packaging is 100% vegan and cruelty free.

Unfortunately, at this time we are only routinely shipping within the UK but hope to open this to worldwide very soon!

To be eligible for a return or exchange, you must inform us within 21 days of receiving your item. Ensure all items are in their original condition with any tags and packaging intact. We cannot accept used items unless they are defective, damaged or you have received the wrong item.

Please reach out to us for a returns label by emailing marilee@twislee.com. Once your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed, less the cost of the shipping. You will be refunded on your original payment method.
