This PDF tutorial shows you how to make my 3-arm macrame plant hanger. It’s perfect for beginners, with easy, step-by-step instructions and 20 clear photos. You only need to learn 3 knots, each with a YouTube video linked in the PDF.
The hanger fits plant pots up to about 14cm wide. See the photos for examples with 13cm and 14cm pots. If you want to hang bigger pots, check out my 4-arm plant hanger tutorial.
You’ll need a ring (wood or metal) and 27.5 meters of 5mm cotton cord. You can use single strand, braided, or twisted cord.
Measurements are in metric (cm and meters)

The hanger measures 80cm from the top ring to the tassel end (without a pot). The total length will be shorter when a pot is added.
